How Can Children Eat Well Instead of Just Eating Enough?

A full tummy doesn’t always mean a balanced diet. A local survey found that 40% of the meals parents prepare for their children each week contain processed foods. Many parents also tend to serve foods their children enjoy, as they are more likely to eat them readily, making mealtimes less of a struggle.

The survey also found that lower-income families face greater challenges in accessing nutritious meals. Through its Nutritious Meals Support programme, Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore) helps children from lower-income families develop healthier eating habits.
